My name is Maddy, and I am an art teacher trained in history of art at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London.

Three years ago, I started a job that would inspire me to combine my passions for art and education. I au paired for a family in Italy and spent time designing workshops to engage the children in learning English. Many of these workshops involved art, and so the idea for Mini Michelangelos took root.

Practicing and learning about art broadens and animates children’s understanding of the world around them, helping them to improve their fine motor skills and exercise their imaginations.

Creating art may also boost a child’s confidence in themselves and their abilities, as well as promoting a healthy attitude towards making mistakes.

My private art classes are fun and educational. Each class is themed around a different artist for the children to discover and be inspired by.

Classes take place at your home, and I bring all of the materials with me, including a table cloth and aprons. Classes are 1 hour and can be given for individual children or for a group of siblings.

Price: €40 for 2 children (minimum payment), €50 for 3 children, €60 for 4 children.

My workshops are taught for children of all ages. We investigate a new artist in every class, before making a beautiful artwork inspired by them.
